Two great artists, Lucia Barrenechea (piano) and Hugo Pilger (cello) decide to investigate the influences received and passed on by Villa-Lobos from Bach to Edino Krieger. From his youth as a musician playing in cafes and movie theaters around Rio de Janeiro, going through his memorable cycle of Bachianas, until the maturity of the composer, recognized internationally for his melodism and virtuosity.

   The presence of Villa-Lobos can be felt in all aspects of Brazilian Music, from Classical to Bossa Nova, from nursery rhymes to the street music of Rio de janeiro, called Choro Music.

   Villa-Lobos is everywhere in Brazil as much as Brazil is everywhere in his work.
